Approach to Defense & Security projects

Spark Labs has not yet taken part in any formal defense procurement project in Vietnam. We state this plainly from the outset, because transparency is the foundation of any partnership in the defense field.

That said, our team has real-world experience with equivalent technical requirements in other domains:

Transferable experience

Harsh-environment design

Automotive and industrial applications: vibration, -40°C to +85°C, EMI immunity — the same principles as MIL-STD-810 requirements.

Long-term reliability

ECUs designed for a 10+ year lifetime, high-MTBF industrial controllers, field IoT devices running with minimal maintenance.

Trusted supply chain

Component traceability, certificates of origin, non-China sourcing capability, and supply-chain risk assessment.

Secure communication

Encrypted channels, secure boot, OTA firmware updates with cryptographic verification and key management.

Cloud-managed remote operation

Custom 4G router firmware with WAN/4G failover, telemetry collection and remote diagnostics — close to a tactical datalink problem.

Wireless mesh networking

Multi-node mesh that self-forms, self-heals and routes, with time synchronization — core technology for tactical datalink networks.

Ruggedized COTS & mechanical

Carrier boards for COTS modules, ruggedized IP65/67 enclosures, conduction cooling and MIL-DTL-38999 connectors.

Commitments for defense projects

Compliance

Adherence to trusted supply chain; no SoCs/modules with packaged firmware from untrusted vendors; production at approved partners.

Auditability

Open architecture with no closed firmware blobs; source code auditable by authorized agencies.

Cipher & hardware security

Integration of Government Cipher Committee security modules on request; AES-128/256 support; hardware security: secure boot, physical tamper resistance, key zeroization on intrusion.

Collaboration

Willing to act as a technical subcontractor; collaborate with certification-experienced partners; transfer technology to the end customer.

Differentiation

  • Speed of execution — small team, no bureaucracy
  • Deep customization — fully custom rather than adapting an off-the-shelf product
  • Multi-disciplinary — one team owning everything from silicon to cloud
  • Transparency — open about capabilities, limits and risks
  • AI-driven efficiency — a modern workflow that is faster and higher quality
