About Spark Labs
Spark Labs is a specialized engineering studio that unites the founders' experience into a multi-disciplinary R&D team — covering the full span from register-level firmware, high-speed hardware, mechanical and thermal, SMT manufacturing, through to software and cloud.
Unlike large-scale integrators or off-the-shelf product vendors, we research and develop custom, project by project — building a bespoke solution for each specific requirement. Most projects fall under NDA, so capabilities here are presented anonymously; what we don't hide is how we work: transparent, accurate, and never fabricating any specification.
Six engineering principles
Accuracy First
We never fabricate specs, datasheets or technical conclusions. When something is uncertain, we state the degree, explain the assumptions, and propose how to verify.
Research Before Answering
Analyze thoroughly, verify assumptions, compare options and weigh trade-offs before recommending — no generic, surface-level solutions.
Engineering Mindset
Design for reliability, maintainability, scalability, safety and manufacturability — stable enough for real production, not just to "run once".
Grounded in Reality
Products must run in harsh conditions: vibration, shock, heat, unstable power, electrical noise, intermittent connectivity, and limited MCU resources.
Structured Thinking
Trace the root cause, state assumptions and constraints, compare options with trade-offs, then justify the choice and anticipate risks and edge cases.
AI-Native Engineering
We bring AI into the workflow methodically to work faster and better — but every output is verified by a qualified engineer.
Engineering discipline at every step
- Multi-layer code review before merging to the production branch
- Two-round hardware design review before fabrication
- Hardware-in-loop testing for safety-critical functions
- Environmental testing (thermal cycling, vibration) before production
- Documentation discipline: design records, decision logs, test reports
How we engage
Project-based R&D
Clear scope, deliverables and timeline; milestone-based payment; IP terms negotiated per project.
Long-term Partnership
Continuous engineering support, multi-phase product development, retainer or milestone billing.
Technical Consulting
Architecture review, feasibility assessment, technology selection and engineering due diligence.
